Adding to my inspiring leaders list

3 weeks ago, i came to know about this lady via a company mail. She was assigned the role of CEO of Yahoo and she is 60 years old! (hold ur breath) . Then i surfed the net to a get a hold of her history and after scanning through few pages, i could conclude that she is a 'no nonsense and straight forward' person and my interpretation got more convincing evidence via her weekly mails that she is sending out to yahoos worldwide. She is a very focussed leader and i just love the focus that she exhibits while taking a decision. She inspired me so much that i have decided to add her to my inspiring leader's list. Here is the list

1. Warren Buffett( guruji for all investors)
2. Ratan Tata
3. Narayana Murthy
4. Dhirubhai Ambani
5. and now Carol Bartz(my CEO)

My Favourite Metro - Mumbai

It was early 2006 when i crossed the boundaries of south india for the first time in life and i was heading towards my sister's home at India's Financial Capital - Mumbai (the real face of India to the external world). It was also my first flight experience and i had never been to the airport even once before that ;). So there were many first of kind of things during the trip.

I can even recollect the thrilled and excited mood that i was in from the moment i landed in mumbai till i returned back to bangalore. There were no words for me to explain the beauty of the city. It is HUGEEEE and the roads were damn WIDEEEE. I was wondering whether i am still in India coz North India is totally different from the places that i had been in south india(Chennai,Devakottai,Chidambaram).

I stayed in that beautiful city for 4 days and everything was new to me and i enjoyed every moment of it ( adventurous trip with my childhood friend - Muthu, visit to Big Bazaar, trip in the local trains(the most interesting one)).

I had promised my wife that i would take her to Mumbai to my sister's place. Once the recession is over, i can get back to touring the best places in the country ;).

From a career perspective, i would like to enter Mumbai as a Gurubhai and not as a visitor. Lets see if i get such a chance.

Our first family appearance

Yesterday it was the first time me and my wife, Valli attended a reception. The reception was of my friend's sister. It was our first family appearance among my friends circle and lot of my friends had turned up and it was a nice feeling to attend functions with your family. It was a good get together with my friends and we had good time pulling each other's legs.  In total had a very good and new experience and wish to have  many more such events in future along with my wife and family.
